Yes, the use of portable BBQs that have legs preventing them from sitting directly on the grass or park furniture is permitted as part of your booking (except during the periods of total fire ban).
Hot coals, oil, hot or frozen liquid from BBQs must not be dumped anywhere within the Park, they must be taken with you when you leave.
The lighting of fires in the Parklands is prohibited.
A shelter booking at the Gawi Shelter or Mana Shelter is essential if would like to bring any structures or are to engage a service provider for your function at Parramatta Park (additional fees apply).

These additional items need to be approved by the Trust before you can bring them to a booking. There is also an inclusion fee of $80 per item. To arrange this, please read our Entertainment & Other Inclusions Policy and then complete our Inclusion Application Form. Applications require a minimum of 10 business days' notice for processing.

When a shelter has already been hired or is not available, an X will appear under the date. Please select another shelter or date for your booking.
The hire times and booking type are selected at the start of the booking process and can’t be changed once you move through to the checkout. If you go back to the beginning you can change the hire time and move through again.
To cancel your booking, you will need to email your request to bookings@ppt.nsw.gov.au quoting your booking number, area and date. If you wish to cancel your booking you must do so in writing at least 7 days prior to your booking date. Cancellation fees may apply and vary depending on the notice provided. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
The booking type is selected at the start of the process. If you go back to the start, you can change the booking type.
You are not able to change the shelter or area you have hired once your booking has been confirmed. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
Yes all bookings must be paid in full with a valid credit card when the reservation is made. No other payment methods are available.
You are able to decorate the shelter with streamers, balloons (not helium), signs and similar decorations. All decorations must be attached with string or streamers and must be fully removed after your booking. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
We will place a ‘reserved’ sign at the shelter so other park users know it has been booked. Our rangers will be able to assist if there are any issues. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information.
